Marshall, TX – 2 Killed & 3 Injured on US-80 Collision

Marshall, TX (January 6, 2020) – A motor vehicle accident on US Highway 80 claimed the lives of two victims and left three injured on Sunday.

Just before 7 p.m., on January 5, a major motor vehicle collision occurred along US Highway 80 in Marshall. Preliminary reports indicate that 23-year-old Haley Ann Carroll was traveling south along CR 2218 when her vehicle collided with a vehicle traveling east on US 80, which was driven by 20-year-old Nathan Charles Guyer. The impact of the collision caused Carroll’s vehicle to roll into the westbound lane where it was struck by an SUV driven by 69-year-old Jesse Wayne Wink.

Carroll, along with her passenger 24-year-old Dusty James Goddard, were both pronounced deceased at the scene.

Guyer was rushed to Christus Good Shepherd Medical Center in Marshall for treatment.

Wink and her 65-year-old passenger, Barbara Wink, were both transported to Christus Good Shepherd Medical Center.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
