UPDATE: Groves, TX – Laura Segura Injured in Crash on Twin City Hwy

Groves, TX (January 6, 2020) – Police have released the identification of the female victim seriously injured on Twin City Highway.

At approximately 8 p.m., on January 5, authorities rushed to the scene of a motor vehicle accident in the 2600 block of Twin City Highway.

Reports indicate that 48-year-old Laura Segura was attempting to cross the highway when she was struck by a Ford pickup truck.

The driver of the truck, identified as 34-year-old Luis Cheveresrivera, remained at the scene of the incident.

Segura was rushed to Christus St. Elizabeth hospital in Beaumont for treatment.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
