Donley County, TX – Victims Involved in US-287 Crash ID’d by Police
Donley County, TX (January 8, 2020) – At approximately 8:20 p.m., on January 6, authorities were called to the scene of a major motor vehicle accident on US Highway 287.
Reports from the Texas Department of Public Safety indicate that 47-year-old Donald Gumfory was traveling along the roadway in 2015 Volvo truck tractor towing a semi-trailer when his vehicle collided with a Nissan Rogue, which was driven by 30-year-old Martha Ayala-Garcia.
Ayala-Garcia and one passenger in her vehicle, who was identified as 30-year-old Samantha Petters, were both killed instantly in the collision.
A third passenger, who was identified as 34-year-old Shu Wou, was critically injured and airlifted to Northwest Texas Hospital for treatment.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
