Pharr, TX – Fire Claims Life of Second Victim on N Tierra Dr

Pharr, TX (January 7, 2020) – A tragic fire on North Tierra Drive has claimed the life of its second victim.

Just after 7:20 a.m., on December 8, crews responded to the scene of a major fire incident in the 800 block of North Tierra Drive.

Reports indicate that a fire broke out on the second floor of a home in the area. Two victims were both trapped inside the home.

Crews recovered the body of a male victim, who was identified as 35-year-old Jose Luis Chavez, Jr. and declared this victim deceased at the scene.

The second victim, who was identified as 49-year-old Senovio Perez III, was rushed to a burn unit in San Antonio where he was admitted in critical condition.

Sadly, authorities confirmed that Perez succumbed to his injuries on December 31.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
