Lamar County, TX – 2 Injured in House Explosion on County Rd 35460

Lamar County, TX (January 9, 2020) – Two victims were seriously injured in an explosion on County Road 35460 on Monday.

On January 6, just after 9 p.m., fire crews responded to the scene of a major accident. Reports indicate that a man and woman were sleeping inside their home, located off County Road 35460 when the propane tank exploded.

The impact of the explosion threw both victims off their bed as the house collapsed around them.

Both victims sustained serious burns and numerous broken bones in the incident. They were both transported to area hospitals for treatment.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
