Hit-And-Run Pedestrian Accidents in Texas

Harris County, TX - 1 Killed In Hit-And-Run Pedestrian Accident On Homestead RdIn 2017, at least one pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle somewhere in the United States every 88 minutes. When drivers hit pedestrians after midnight and fail to stop and render aid, it’s likely that they are under the influence. In fact, most DUI accidents occur after midnight on the weekends since that’s the time people are leaving bars, clubs, and parties.

Failing to stop and render aid is an act of negligence and drivers will be expected to suffer jail time and pay fines, especially if the person they hit sustained injuries or lost their life.

At The Benton Law Firm, we work diligently to assist families with their wrongful death lawsuits, especially after suddenly losing a loved one in a hit-and-run accident. Families should not be expected to pay for hospital and funeral bills if a negligent driver was responsible for taking the life of their loved one.
