Pedestrian Accidents in Texas
In 2015, approximately 102 people were killed on Texas roads, and 32 of them were pedestrians. Sadly, when a pedestrian accident happens late at night, the cause is usually distracted driving, drunk driving, or fatigued driving. When drivers fail to pay attention after hours, they risk not seeing a pedestrian crossing the street, especially if they are wearing dark clothing. No matter what, drivers are expected to be aware of their surroundings no matter who has the right-of-way.
