Pedestrian Accidents in Texas

Bedford, TX – Sterling Havens Killed In Pedestrian Accident On State Hwy 183

Unfortunately, it’s common for pedestrians to lose their lives on weekends when it’s late at night. When drivers hit pedestrians after midnight, there is a high probability that they were under the influence at the time of the crash. When drivers are intoxicated behind the wheel, it’s harder for them to see pedestrians, traffic signs, traffic lights, lane dividers, and other vehicles. Therefore, they are more prone to accidentally harming someone who may have had the right of way.

As long as their loved one wasn’t at fault for the accident, immediate family members can file wrongful death lawsuits with an experienced Texas attorney. It’s important to file the claim right away so that more compensation can be received. At The Benton Law Firm, we assist family members with every step of the filing process until we have done all we can to help them win their case.
