Houston, TX – Man Killed in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on Eastex Fwy

Houston, TX (January 12, 2020) On the early morning of January 12th, a man was changing his tire in the 11500 block of Eastex Freeway, not far from Gaston Street. According to reports, a silver SUV was driving recklessly on the freeway, failing to remain in one lane right before striking the man and the woman that was with him. Unfortunately, the driver fled the scene without helping the two victims. The accident happened at around 3:00 a.m.

When emergency crews arrived at the scene, they found the man fatally injured in the roadway. His identity has not been released at this time. The woman sustained injuries and was tended to by the paramedics.

The accident is still under investigation as authorities are searching for the vehicle responsible.
