Tyler, TX – 3 injured in Collision on US-271 (TX-155)

Tyler, TX (January 14, 2020) – Three people are left with injuries, and one person arrested, after US Highway 271 collision on Monday.

Just after 12:05 a.m., on January 13, authorities were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident in the 10700 block of US Highway 271.

Reports indicate that 19-year-old Jasmine Gonzalez was traveling south along the northbound side of the highway in a 2005 Mercedes-Benz when her vehicle collided head-on with a 2019 Nissan Sentra.

The three occupants of the Nissan, who were identified as a 35-year-old female, a 13-year-old child, and an 8-year-old child, were all injured and rushed to area hospitals for treatment.

Gonzalez was provided medical treatment and subsequently arrested for two counts of intoxication assault.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
