Angelina County, TX – Savannah Lee Struck by Vehicle on TX-63
Angelina County, TX (January 16, 2020) – A female construction worker was struck by a motor vehicle on State Highway 63 on Wednesday.
At around 12:15 p.m., on January 15, authorities were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on State Highway 63. Reports indicate that a 2000 Honda, driven by 23-year-old Destiny Husband, was traveling west along the highway when she struck a construction worker just east of Farm to Market Road 2743.
The construction worker, who was identified as 21-year-old Savannah Lee, was critically injured in the collision. Lee was rushed to a hospital in Lufkin than transported via helicopter to a Tyler hospital.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
