Houston, TX – 1 Injured in Crash on S Barker Cypress Rd

Houston, TX (January 16, 2020) – A motor vehicle accident resulting from a police chase left one person injured.

On January 15, at around 12:15 p.m., a motor vehicle accident occurred along South Baker Cypress Road. Reports indicate that police were attempting to stop a driver in a black Dodge Charger who sped away from the site.

As officers pursued the driver, the Charger crashed into two others, including a Houston Police Department Cruiser, at the intersection of South Barker Cypress Road and Westheimer Road.

One person inside one of the vehicles struck was injured in the collision and transported to an area hospital.

The driver of the Charger was apprehended at the scene.

Police are currently investigating the collision.
