DUI Accidents in Texas
In 2017, there were about 1,594 suspected DUI accidents throughout Texas. Out of those accidents, approximately 2,169 people sustained injuries as a result. When drivers are intoxicated behind the wheel, they are less likely to follow traffic laws and more likely to drive above the speed limit without realizing it. When drivers do this, they risk losing control of their vehicles and crashing into other cars, pedestrians, homes, and businesses.
