Martindale, TX – Mary Paul Injured in Dog Attack on NW River Rd (Co Rd 103)

Martindale, TX (January 20, 2020) – A dog attack on Wednesday left one woman seriously injured.

On January 15, authorities were called to the scene of an incident on Northwest River Road.

Reports indicate that Councilwoman Mary Paul was attacked by two dogs for unknown reasons. A passerby stopped his vehicle and jumped out after spotting the injured woman lying in a grassy area.

The male was able to fend off the dogs until police and emergency crews arrived.

Ms. Paul was injured in the attack and rushed to an area hospital for surgery.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
