Bee County, TX – 2 Killed in Crash on US-181

Bee County, TX (January 23, 2020) – A motor vehicle accident on US Highway 181 claimed two victim’s lives.

On January 22, at around 9:56 a.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to a two-vehicle collision. Reports indicate that a 2017 Peterbilt tractor-trailer collided head-on with a 2009 Dodge Ram pickup truck head-on along US Highway 181 just south of Normanna.

The two occupants of the Dodge, who were identified as a 74-year-old man and a 61-year-old man, were both killed instantly.

The driver of the Peterbilt was transported to Spohn Shoreline Hospital with serious injuries.

At this time, police are investigating.
