UPDATE: Austin, TX – Gregory Gonzalez ID’d as Thaxton Rd Crash Victim

Austin, TX (January 24, 2020) – At approximately 8:45 a.m., on January 23nd, authorities responded to the scene of a major motor vehicle accident in the 10400 block of Thaxton Road.

Reports indicate that a 2009 Chevy Cobalt and a 2018 Chevy Silverado collided head-on.

The driver of the Cobalt, identified as 36-year-old Gregory Gonzalez, sustained fatal injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.

The driver of the Silverado, identified as Jesus Alejandro Galvan, was transported via medical helicopter to Dell Seton Medical Center for serious injuries.

At this time, police are investigating.
