Pedestrian Accidents in Texas
Every day, an average of nine teenagers between the ages of 16-19 lose their lives from traffic-related injuries. Most pedestrian accidents result from drivers not paying attention to the road. Drivers have an obligation to remain aware of their surroundings at all times, even if pedestrians are walking in an unmarked crosswalk. Drivers are expected to yield or come to a complete stop.
When drivers fail to do so, they may be held financially liable for medical expenses and other damages.
At The Benton Law Firm, we encourage parents to immediately file wrongful death lawsuits after losing their child in a pedestrian accident. We work hard to help families win their cases because we don’t believe they should be stuck with the financial burden of another driver’s negligent actions. If you lost a loved one in a pedestrian accident, contact us today to set up a free consultation at (219) 214-4878.
