Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accidents in Texas

Dallas, TX – Man Killed In Hit-And-Run Pedestrian Accident On W. Saner Ave

Recent studies confirm that pedestrian fatalities are responsible for 16 percent of all fatalities nationwide. When drivers hit pedestrians and proceed to drive off without stopping, they are committing a clear act of negligence. They’re often under the influence or on the run from another crime.

Most hit-and-run drivers are on the roads at night when they think they’re less likely to be seen by witnesses or caught by authorities. However, when they eventually do get caught, the consequences are twice as severe.
