Pedestrian Accidents in Texas
In 2018, Texas had the highest number of pedestrian accidents than any other year. Nearly 8,000 pedestrian accidents occurred throughout the state, leaving victims both injured and deceased. Many pedestrian accidents occur at night when drivers are more likely to be under the influence and/or fatigued. Under these circumstances, drivers are less aware of their surroundings and in less control of their vehicles.
When drivers strike and injure pedestrians because of negligence, they should be 100 percent responsible for damages.
