Multiple Injuries After TRE Train Crashes into Semi Near Downtown Fort Worth
Fort Worth, TX (January 28, 2020) – Multiple injuries are reported following a collision between a Trinity Railway Express (“TRE”) train and and 18-wheeler in Fort Worth. The collision occurred 7:30am in the 400 block of Riverside Drive. According to reports from the Fort Worth Fire Department, the 18-wheeler was hauling 30,000 pounds of aluminum at the time of the collision. There were approximately 70 passengers on the TRE train.
The incident remains under investigation.
