Ronald Simpkins Killed, Keith Williams Injured in US-287 Crash
Hedley, TX (January 28, 2020) – A crash Monday morning claimed one victim’s life and left a second seriously injured.
On January 27, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of an automobile collision on US Highway 287. Reports from DPS indicate that a truck carrying two short trailers was traveling east when it collided with a semi-truck.
The driver of the truck, who was identified as 43-year-old Ronald Simpkins, was killed in the collision.
A passenger in the truck, who was identified as 52-year-old Keith Williams, suffered serious injuries and was rushed to Northwest Texas Hospital for treatment.
No one in the semi-truck was injured.
At this time, DPS is investigating.
