Advertising Sign Holder Struck, Injured by SUV on Rock Prairie Road In College Station

College Station, TX. (March 3, 2020)- A pedestrian holding an advertising sign was seriously injured March 2, 2020 in College Station after being struck by an SUV. The accident occurred at around 5 p.m. on Rock Prairie Road at the Highway 6 overpass. College Station police reported that a Lexus SUV traveling eastbound on Rock Prairie Road ran a red light and was hit by another SUV traveling southbound on the feeder road. The Lexus was forced onto the sidewalk, striking a pedestrian who was holding an advertising sign. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. The victim was later airlifted to a hospital in Temple for further treatment. The drivers of the SUVs were treated a the scene for minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
