6-Year-Old, 2 Others Seriously Injured in Crash on North Polk Street and Amarillo Boulevard in Amarillo
Amarillo, TX. (March 18, 2020)- A 6-year-old and two others were critically injured in a two-vehicle crash on March 16, 2020 in Amarillo, Texas. The accident occurred at around 10:35 p.m. at the Amarillo Boulevard and North Polk Street intersection. Police reported that a 2013 Honda Accord traveling east on the Boulevard struck a 2008 Acura MDX that was traveling north on Polk Street. Both drivers and a child passenger in the Acura were transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. A second passenger in the Acura was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police reported that alcohol and no seat belt were factors for both drivers. The ADP Traffic Investigation Squad is investigating the crash.
