Vehicle Accidents in Texas
In 2013, approximately 3,377 people lost their lives in vehicle accidents throughout Texas. The leading cause of most accidents in Texas has been confirmed as speed. Other common causes include distracted driving, drunk driving, reckless driving, and fatigued driving. All of these causes are even more likely to occur at night when drivers are tired or have consumed too much alcohol. If all drivers complied with Texas laws, less people would lose their lives on the road.
