Two Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 20 near South Lancaster Road in Southeast Oak Cliff

Oak Cliff, TX. (May 15, 2020)- Two people were killed in a multi-vehicle crash on May 11, 2020 in Dallas, Texas. The accident occurred around 10:20 p.m. on westbound Interstate 20 near South Lancaster Road. Deputies reported that the diver of a Saturn Ion claimed that they were traveling in the right lane of the interstate while an 18-wheeler was traveling in the center lane. A white vehicle then cut in front of the 18-wheeler and struck the front of the Saturn. The impact caused the Saturn to spin and collide with the 18-wheeler. The driver of the white vehicle fled the scene. The drivers of a Lincoln Town Car and a Lexus ES 300 stopped to help, and were hit by a Kia Sorento. The Lexus slid and came to a stop in the left barrier facing the wrong way against the Saturn. The Lincoln caught on fire. Two occupants in the Lincoln were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Kia fled the scene. The crash remains under investigation.

We would like to offer our sincere condolences to the families of the victims who lost their lives in this accident.  Our thoughts are with them at this time.
