Horse and Rider Fatally Struck in Pedestrian-Vehicle Crash on FM 148 near FM 1390 in Scurry
Scurry, TX- (May 19, 2020)- A horse and rider were killed by a vehicle on May 17, 2020 in Scurry, Texas. The accident occurred around 9:20 p.m. in the 7000 block of FM 148 near FM 1390. Police reported that a GMC Arcadia was traveling northbound while two horses and their riders were traveling southbound. The drier swerved to avoid hitting the first horse, but hit the second one. The horse and rider were pronounced dead at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
