Stephen and Kathleen Nagel Seriously Injured in Wrong-Way Crash on Interstate 10 in Orange County
Orange County, TX. (May 26, 2020)- Stephen and Kathleen Nagel were seriously injured in a wrong-way crash on May 20, 2020 in Orange County, Texas. The accident occurred around 7:30 a.m. on Interstate 10, near the Travel Information Center. DPS reported that Stephen Nagel was driving a 2017 Jeep SUV westbound on the interstate while a 2017 Dodge pickup towing an enclosed trailer was traveling behind him. The driver of a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes then crashed head-on into the Jeep and into the trailer of the Dodge. Stephen and his passenger, Kathleen, were transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital with serious injuries. There were no other reported injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
