58-Year-Old George Kenneth Ulibarri Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on Southwest 46th Avenue and Parker Street in Amarillo
Amarillo, TX. (June 1, 2020)- George Kenneth Ulibarri was killed in a two-vehicle crash on May 26, 2020 in Amarillo, Texas. The crash occurred around 3:45 p.m. at the Southwest 46th Avenue and Parker Street intersection. Police reported that the driver of a 2004 Toyota Matrix was speeding when they ran the red light on Parker Street. The driver then struck a 2007 Mercury MKX driven by Ulibarri. Ulibarri was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Toyota fled the scene, but was later located hiding a nearby shed. The suspect was arrested and charged for a previous felony warrant, murder and an accident causing death. The crash remains under investigation.
