Three Killed, Two Injured in Wrong-Way Collision on State Highway 6 in Comanche County
Comanche County, TX. (June 8, 2020)- 19-year-old Everardo Palacios, 20-year-old Bertha Gloria Muniz, 21-year-old Eric Arthur Jason Martinez were killed, and 20-year-old Selena Hernandez was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash on June 2, 2020 in Comanche County, Texas. The accident occurred around 5:00 p.m. on State Highway 6, south of Gorman, Texas. DPS reported that a Chevrolet Cruze was traveling westbound on the highway when the driver veered into the eastbound lane. The driver of a BMW crossed the into the westbound lane to avoid the Chevrolet. The Chevrolet then veered back into the westbound lane and crashed head-on into the BMW. Palacios, Muniz and Martinez were passengers of the BMW. They were all pronounced dead at the scene. Hernandez, the driver of the BMW, was transported to Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene with critical injuries. The driver of the Chevrolet was transported to Comanche County Medical Center with unknown injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
