16-Year-Old Tristan Sanders Killed, Two Seriously Injured in DUI Crash on Highway 6 near Loch Katrine Lane in Harris County

Harris County, TX. (June 9, 2020)- Tristan Sanders was killed, and two teens were seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash on June 5, 2020 in Harris County, Texas. The crash occurred around 2:30 a.m. on Highway 6 near Loch Katrine Lane. Police reported that a BMW sedan was traveling southbound on the highway when a Hummer pulled into the highway. The two vehicles slammed into each other. The impact caused the BMW to hit a light pole and then a tree. The Hummer ended up in a ditch. Sanders, who was a passenger in the back seat of the BMW, was pronounced dead at the scene. The BMW driver and front seat passenger were transported to the hospital in serious condition. The driver of the Hummer sustained minor injuries and has been charged with driving while intoxicated. Additional charges are pending. The crash remains under investigation.
