Curtis Townsend Killed in 18-Wheeler Crash on State Highway 29 and Ronald Reagan Boulevard in Leander
Leander, TX. (June 16, 2020)- Curtis Townsend was killed in a two-vehicle crash on June 2, 2020 in Leander, Texas. The accident occurred just before 9:00 a.m. at the State Highway 29 and Ronald Reagan Boulevard intersection. Witnesses told officers that an 18-wheeler was traveling northbound on Ronald Reagan Boulevard when it ran a red light at the intersection. The 18-wheeler then struck a pickup truck that was traveling eastbound on Highway 29. Townsend, the driver of the pickup truck, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the 18-wheeler was transported to Round Rock St. David’s Hospital with minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
