Four Injured in 18-Wheeler Crash on Highway 302 near the Black Mountain Sand-Vest Facility in Winkler County
Winkler County, TX. (July 24, 2020)- Four drivers were injured in a multi-vehicle crash on July 22, 2020 in Winkler County, Texas. The crash occurred around 5:45 a.m. on Highway 302 near the Black Mountain Sand-Vest Facility. DPS reported that the driver an 18-wheeler traveling westbound failed to control their speed and rear-ended a second westbound 18-wheeler. The impact caused the second 18-wheeler to veer into eastbound traffic where it crashed head-on into a third 18-wheeler. A fourth vehicle was also involved in the crash. All four drivers were transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries. No further details have been provided at this time. The crash remains under investigation.
