Favian Chavez Garcia, Myra Pallares and Sofia Garcia Killed in Wrong-Way Crash on Loop 820 near Highway 377 in Haltom City

Haltom City, TX. (September 2, 2020)- 35-Year-Old Favian Chavez Garcia, his wife Myra Pallares and his 9-year-old daughter Sofia Garcia were killed in a two-vehicle crash on August 30, 2020 in Haltom City, Texas. The accident occurred in the 5400 block of Loop 820 near Highway 377. Police reported that the diver of a Chevrolet pickup truck was traveling west in the eastbound lanes when it crashed head-on into a BMW driven by Favian Chavez Garcia. The impact caused both vehicles to catch fire. Garcia, his wife and his daughter were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Chevrolet was airlifted to Harris Methodist in Fort Worth where they face three counts of intoxicated manslaughter. No further details have been provided at this time. The crash remains under investigation.
