52-Year-Old Carol Hardy Killed, Two Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on U.S. 59 near Roman Forest Boulevard in New Caney
New Caney, TX. (March 1, 2021)- Carol Hardy was killed, and two others were injured in a two-vehicle crash on February 25, 2021 in New Caney, Texas. The accident occurred around 7:00 p.m. on U.S. 59 near Roman Forest Boulevard. Police reported that a Dodge truck was traveling northbound when its front tire flew off, crossed into the southbound lane and crashed through the windshield of a GMC Sierra driven by Hardy. Hardy then rear-ended a Buick Lacrosse driven by 42-year-old Christopher Stephens. Hardy was pronounced dead at the scene. 17-year-old Kaden Hardy, a passenger in the Sierra, was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. Stephens was taken to Memorial Hermann for treatment. The driver of the Dodge was uninjured in the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
