21-Year-Old Samantha Maxine Skaggs Killed in DUI Crash on Interstate 20 at Collins Street in Arlington

Arlington, TX. (April 21, 2021)- One person was killed in a DUI crash on April 16, 2021 in Arlington, Texas. The accident occurred around 2:30 a.m. in the 1100 block of Interstate 20 near Collins Street. Police reported that the diver of a passenger car swerved and crashed into an 18-wheeler. The 18-wheeler then jackknifed across westbound lanes where it was struck by another passenger vehicle driven by Skaggs. Skaggs was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the first vehicle was arrested on an intoxication manslaughter charge. The crash remains under investigation.
