Child Killed, Two Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on St. Joseph Parkway at Chartes Street in Houston
Houston, TX. (October 5, 2021)- An 8-year-old child was killed, and two others were injured in a two-vehicle crash on October 1, 2021, in Houston, Texas. The accident occurred shortly after 10:35 p.m. in the 1800 block of St. Joseph Parkway at Chartes Street. Police reported that the diver of a northbound Dodge Challenger ran the red light and struck a Honda Civic occupied by the victims. The child passenger in the Honda was transported to an area hospital where they later succumbed to their injuries. The Honda driver and a second passenger were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. They were identified as the child’s parents. The driver of the Challenger was uninjured in the crash. No further details have been provided at this time. The crash remains under investigation.
