Lexy Vasquez Seriously Injured in Head-On Crash on 19th Street at Chicago Avenue in Lubbock
Lubbock, TX. (November 8, 2022)- 18-year-old Lexy Vasquez, and four others were injured in a two-vehicle crash on November 4, 2022, in Lubbock, Texas. The accident occurred just before 12:00 a.m. at the 19th Street and Chicago Avenue intersection. Police reported that the driver of an eastbound Nissan Altima crossed into the westbound lanes and crashed head-on into a Hyundai Elantra driven by Vasquez. Vasquez was transported to Covenant Medical Center with serious injuries. Three passengers in the Elantra were taken to University Medical Center with serious injuries. The driver of the Altima was taken to University Medical Center for treatment. It is believed that the driver of the Altima may have been intoxicated at the time of the crash. No further details have been provided at this time. The crash remains under investigation.
