SAN ANTONIO, TX – A man died last Wednesday in an incident involving two intoxicated drivers along the interstate in northwest San Antonio.
According to WFAA News 8, a series of accidents leading to the fatality occurred around 2:15 a.m. on the westbound side of I-410 near Vance Jackson Road. This is just south of Jackson Middle School.
Police say that 37-year-old David Razo Garcia stopped his vehicle along the interstate to assist the victims of an earlier wrong-way crash. As he exited his car, a vehicle driven by 27-year-old Rudy Orozco struck him.
A second driver, identified as 27-year-old Monika Jordan also struck Garcia, who died after transport to an area hospital.
Authorities arrested Orozco on a DWI charge, while Jordan was arrested on a charge of intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle.
The investigation is ongoing.
