Willie Wilson, 71, killed in 3-car crash on SE Loop in Temple

TEMPLE, TX – A 71-year-old man sustained fatal injuries Saturday in a multi-vehicle crash along the highway in Temple, reports KXXV 25. 

The incident occurred shortly before 1 p.m. in the area of 19200 Southeast HK Dodgen Loop, which is just southeast of James Wilson Park.

Police say that one vehicle struck another while merging onto Southeast HK Dodgen Loop. A third vehicle then collided with the vehicle that was initially struck.

One person died after transport to an area hospital. Authorities identified him as 71-year-old Willie Wilson of Marlin.

Medics transported two others to the hospital with unknown injuries. They are expected to survive.

A full investigation is underway.
