Motorcyclist killed in crash with SUV on Jupiter Rd in Plano
PLANO, TX – A man died, and a child sustained injuries in a collision involving an SUV and a motorcycle on a busy Plano roadway on Wednesday night, reports KRLD 1080.
The incident happened just before 8:30 p.m. near the intersection of southbound Jupiter Road and Moore Drive, which is just northeast of both Memorial Elementary School and Bowman Middle School.
The investigation thus far indicates that the SUV and motorcycle collided as the former vehicle turned left onto northbound Jupiter Road from eastbound Moore Drive. At the time of the crash, the motorcycle was speeding southbound on Jupiter Road.
The force of the collision threw the motorcyclist from his bike, and he died at the scene of the accident. Authorities identified the victim as Ryan Bush.
Additionally, medics transported a five-year-old passenger from the SUV to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
