Fiery crash kills 1 at Walton Walker and I-35E SB in NW Dallas
DALLAS, TX – A driver died early last Tuesday morning after his vehicle crashed into a concrete wall along the interstate in northwest Dallas, reports DFW Scanner.
The incident happened just before 4 a.m. on the southbound side of I-35E, or the Stemmons Freeway, at Walton Walker Boulevard.
Police aren’t sure what caused the crash but say the driver lost control and collided with a concrete wall while attempting to merge onto Walton Walker Boulevard. The vehicle then ignited, and the driver died at the scene.
Officials closed the southbound lanes of I-35E for a few hours in the vicinity of the accident.
