Pedestrian crash on Hwy 287NB in Wise Co. blocks traffic

DECATUR, TX – Officials closed the northbound lanes of Highway 287 in Decatur Tuesday night after an auto pedestrian crash, reports DFW Scanner.

Major Accident (Wise County, Decatur) Decatur FD, Wise County EMS, and law enforcement are working a major accident on northbound Highway 287 near the Best Western. Dispatched as a medical emergency possible auto pedestrian crash. Highway closed for investigation.

The incident happened sometime before 10:12 p.m. on the northbound side of Highway 287 near the Best Western Decatur Inn, which is north of South College Avenue.

Police say the collision may have involved a medical emergency. There’s no word yet on injuries and/or fatalities.
