Motorcyclist killed in crash with truck at FM 1417 and FM 691
SHERMAN, TX – A 40-year-old man died last month in Sherman after his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck at a busy intersection in Sherman, reports KXII.
The incident happened the night of Monday, April 10th at the intersection of FM 1417 and FM 691, which is just northwest of Grayson College.
The investigation thus far indicates that the northbound motorcyclist failed to stop at a red light and crashed into a pickup truck. The collision caused the pickup truck to overturn. Additionally, the motorcyclist was ejected from his bike and landed on a third vehicle in the intersection.
Medics transported the motorcyclist to the hospital, where he died from injuries sustained in the accident. Authorities identified the biker as Christopher Brooks Cavender from Sherman.
Three occupants from the pickup truck, including a 10-year-old, also went to the hospital. All three of them sustained non-critical injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
