Driver rear-ends car on Harry Hines near Royal, seriously injuring 5
DALLAS, TX – Five people, including three children, were hospitalized after a suspected drunk driver rear-ended their vehicle on a busy Dallas roadway.
According to WFAA News 8, the incident happened around 10:15 p.m. on Harry Hines Boulevard between Royal Lane and Joe Field Road. This is just north of the Millennium Market Center in the Asian Trade District.
The investigation thus far indicates that a 25-year-old driver rear-ended a vehicle carrying a family of five at a red light on Harry Hines Boulevard. Both parents and all three children sustained injuries; one parent and two children were critically injured.
Police have charged the driver, identified as Markevin Sagastume, with intoxication assault.
The investigation continues.
