1 killed, 1 injured in 2-vehicle crash at US-175 and CR 4511
HENDERSON CO., TX – The driver of a sedan died earlier this week after a car accident involving a pickup truck along the highway near Baxter, reports KLTV 7.
The incident happened on Monday at the intersection of US-175 and County Road 4511, which is south of Baxter and southeast of Athens.
The investigation thus far indicates that the driver of a southbound Honda Civic failed to yield the right of way to a northbound Ford F150 when turning from US-175 onto County Road 4511. The two vehicles collided, injuring both drivers.
The 22-year-old driver of the Honda, identified as Haven Gabriel Finkie, died after transport to a local hospital.
Medics transported the 30-year-old driver of the Ford to an area hospital with non-critical injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
