1 killed, 1 hurt in multi-vehicle crash at SH-34 and Rand Rd in Kaufman
KAUFMAN, TX – One person died, and another went to the hospital Wednesday after three vehicles collided at a busy intersection in Kaufman, reports NBC DFW 5.
The incident happened in the morning near the intersection of State Highway 34 and Rand Road, which is just south of Kaufman Sports Complex.
Police have not shared many details about the circumstances of the accident. They say that a pickup truck towing a trailer, a second pickup truck, and a van collided.
The driver of the van died at the scene, and a teenage passenger from the van sustained serious injuries. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim.
Neither of the other two drivers sustained injuries in the accident.
The investigation is ongoing.
