Richardson crash involving 2 vehicles on US-75 NB kills 1
RICHARDSON, TX – A 32-year-old Florida man died early Monday morning after an incident involving two vehicles on the highway in Richardson, reports WFAA News 8.
The incident happened around 1:15 a.m. on the northbound side of US-75 near West Belt Line Road, which is just north of Richardson Heights Village shopping center.
Police say that a northbound Honda sedan collided with a disabled Lexus along the highway, and the Lexus struck and killed a man. The victim had been a passenger in the Lexus when the vehicle became inoperable after crashing into the median. He was standing in or along the highway when the second crash occurred.
Authorities identified the victim as Abed-Isaac Pierre.
Medics transported the two drivers to a local hospital with non-critical injuries.
Officials say that accident created substantial rush hour delays along US-75 northbound.
The investigation is ongoing.
