Sheldon Withrow, 20, claimed in Orange Co. motorcycle wreck
ORANGE CO., TX – A 20-year-old motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries Friday night in a two-vehicle collision in east-central Orange County, reports KFDM 6.
The accident happened around 10:15 p.m. along FM 105, or Main Street, in the southeastern outskirts of Vidor. This is about 12 miles northeast of Beaumont.
Police say that the operator of a northbound 2008 Kawasaki motorcycle entered the southbound side of FM 105 after losing control of his bike. A southbound GMC pickup truck then struck the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist, identified as Sheldon Withrow of Lumberton, died at the scene of the wreck.
The driver of the pickup truck did not sustain injuries in the crash.
A full investigation is underway.
