Robert Mick, 29, killed in crash with semi in Midland
MIDLAND, TX – A 29-year-old man died Monday in a two-vehicle crash involving a semi on the eastern outskirts of Midland, reports YourBasin.
The accident occurred shortly after 6 p.m. near the intersection of FM 307 and I-20, which is just west of Cole Park.
Police say that the driver of a westbound 18-wheeler neglected to yield right of way when turning from FM 307 onto the interstate. The semi entered the path of a Chevy Suburban, and the two vehicles collided.
The driver of the Chevy, identified as Robert Steffan Mick, died at the scene of the wreck.
The truck driver, since identified as 44-year-old Biorskys Sanchez Fernandez, did not sustain injuries in the crash.
A full investigation is underway.
