1 hospitalized in 2-vehicle crash involving semi in Southlake
SOUTHLAKE, TX – One person sustained serious injuries Friday in a collision involving a passenger vehicle and an 18-wheeler along a highway in Southlake, reports DFW Scanner.
Major Accident (Southlake) Southlake DPS is working a major accident on westbound 114 near Kimball. Vehicle collided into the back of an 18-wheeler. One person transported to a Grapevine trauma center with serious injuries. All westbound lanes closed for clean up and invest.

The incident happened sometime before 7:23 a.m. on the westbound side of TX-114 near Kimball Avenue, which is near Southlake Corners shopping center.
The investigation thus far indicates that a passenger vehicle rear-ended a semi-truck on the highway.
Medics took one person on a trauma alert to a hospital in Grapevine.
It’s unclear at this time if anyone else sustained injuries in the collision.
Officials closed the westbound side of TX-114 in the vicinity of the accident while crews investigated and worked to clear the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
